Who We Are

Teachers, Social Workers, Youth

We Are YOU.  Everyone has their own path.  However success encompasses many factors. Timing, Opportunity and Motivation.  We each have our own story.  We can help you be the author of yours.

NEXT MOVE was created as a Youth Training Program designed to nurture and support youth with challenges that often become a calling card.  A self full-filling  prophecy  because they can’t or don’t have the right support and feel alone. Often not able to manage social relationships and boundaries.  Many times labeled in school by their peers as well as adults in so manner that impedes their growth.  A Teacher, Social Worker and Athletic Coach began to examine how Executive Function Skills could be integrated with a youths interest, like sports,  to close the gaps that are known to keep youth from self actualizing themselves as intelligent and competent young people who can make choices.

NEXT MOVE staff are Milwaukee Natives who believe  in growing the strength of our community. 

While NEXT MOVE began as a Youth Recreational Sports Training Program it continues to respond to the needs of not only youth but adults who are striving toward a goal with the willingness to learn how to get there by taking their own path.  NEXT MOVE now offers JOB Placement, JOB Training and Skill Development Assistance to adults.  In addition to developing programs like Housing for those impacted by Domestic Violence, Consultative Services that support Daily Living Skills and Social Social Skills Development as well as mentoring.  While Youth Recreational Basketball continues to be a passion and the origins of the agency’s NEXT MOVE HOOPS Programs; the agency continues to respond to the needs o the community with skilled and credential individuals in education, coaching, and social worker guiding participants to their NEXT MOVE.
